If you are new to the world of hunting and all things it entails, then you may not know what the ATA Show is designed for So that is where I will start this post.

The ATA (Archery Trade Association) host an annual show that is unlike other shows for one main reason. This is a show where business is conducted between manufactures and distributors, it’s a business to business ordeal. Here is where the actual company owners and their highest qualified staff of hunters attend. On the other hand the company may have no usual show staff working, but instead sales reps with one goal.

The attendees are not like those at most shows.

Here a business looks to have large purchase orders made, new items added to store shelves and websites and other nonpublic centered tasks. This is not a show where single units or product is sold. This is not a show open to the public for this reason. Other attending people may include media outlets and supporting staff. Here it’s a whole different atmosphere and purpose for attending.

This was a new experience and a new purpose in mind.

This year I had more than one company present that I do promotional, field and ambassador work for online. However I attended with multiple goals and purposes not pertaining to this. This year I came as a representative and supporting staff for the Multus Products Booth. My other option was going as. a media member but I was not ready for it just yet. Plus I love to work with Multus and be apart of the development for this product. With great support from this owner I was also able to gain product knowledge and connect with others.

Similar to companies the main purpose for myself was to look for possible products to purchase for the The Beauty & Her Bow Foundation.  A nonprofit is still a business to those unfamiliar with this realm. Contrary to belief, a nonprofit does not get free hand outs all the time and thats why funds are raised! Also my goals were to listen and learn to collect media content to share across my website and blog. It was a jam packed none stop weekend!

I want to be more than a face holding a product in a world focused on my passion. I crave knowlege and information. I spend every moment possibe in the field to gain valuable experience only available through action and effort done  off screen and social media.

Although I did have a chance to see friends and acquaintances from across the country, this was not a weekend of kickback and enjoy. I actually found this show to be the most demanding but I walked away accomplishing what I set out to do. The foundation is something I have and continue to invest my personal funds. Money must be spent into in order to finish the exemption status and move forward. With just a small gap of funds left needed to pay for the last of the filing fees, this weeks show had me excited! I had a few products I feel will be a great fit as well as having price point within reach. Step by step I look forward to the future and bowhunting being introduced to more women and girls across the country!

The show was everything and more in my mind.

I love to hunt and I hope to find more and more ways that I can be involved in the world of hunting. I had the chance to meet a long time friend and inspiration. He has been apart of my journey for a long time now, going back to the week I shot my first turkey! Meeting Bruce of Whitetail Rendezvous came after having been a guest to his podcast twice over the last couple years. The man has the energy of a 2 year old in a 70+ year olds body! He was a blast and truly talented in what he does. Clearly as he was able to get me to open up during my episodes. I look forward to working with him on future shows as an ambassador. Stay tuned and a follow up podcast of my time at the show is coming soon.

There is not one specific place I feel is mine in this industry. I love to learn, write, explore and above all I live to hunt. I want to spend my time going more in-depth in as many ways as possible regarding the life I love as a hunter. So here is a first thought look at my time at the annual ATA show. Next you can look for a post containing some of the interesting products I came across and why they caught my interest. I am a gear geek, with an interest for anything related to a hunters life. This was the perfect show with a great return on time invested.
